How did this product make your life easier?
Debbie: Lansinoh nipple cream literally saved my breastfeeding journey especially when my nipples have become a little sore or chapped and in need of some moisture, the flip-top lid is perfect for juggling whilst holding on to baby and being able to feed with the cream in situ is perfect especially in the early days when they have no patience to wait more than five seconds to latch.
Jessica: This product was a lifesaver in the first few days and weeks of breastfeeding. I have breastfed all three of my children and have relied on this product every time. As soon as my nipples became sore and cracked I applied a generous amount of the HPA lanolin nipple cream and would feel some relief immediately. I also believe it helped them to heal much quicker than they would have if I hadn’t used it. I love the fact that it is safe for babies so I didn’t have to worry about wiping it away before every feed. Plus I discovered it’s great for sore lips, so an extra bonus too.
Lorna: This product definitely made my life easier as a new mum. It was an easy decision to buy this brand to pop in my hospital bag and I wouldn’t have considered any other brand. The product worked quickly, it was very soothing and really helped to protect sore cracked nipples. When my babies started teething they would sometimes bite when feeding and this product was brilliant if they accidentally caught me. I have also used a little bit of this product on the seams/binding of cloth nappies which helps soften them rubbing against my babies skin.
Would you recommend this product to other parents?
Stephanie: I would definitely recommend this product for those breastfeeding and first-time mums. The pain can be unbearable – I experienced this! And this cream made such a difference – it was easy to put on, comes in a small portable tube and felt like it worked quickly. The baby could still breastfeed in between and the baby wasn’t put off in any way from breastfeeding after I had applied the cream.
Hannah: I would definitely recommend this product to any breastfeeding mama’s as the relief it provides is almost instant. The size of the product is perfect for what is needed and a very handy size to pop into your change bag. It’s from a very well known and trusted brand within the breastfeeding/baby community.
Jessica: I would 100 per cent recommend this product to others (and have done so many times!) It is the best nipple cream I have come across on the market and I love the fact it comes in a tube that is hygienic for both mum and baby. The small tube also makes it really easy to pop into the changing bag and take it out and about, but as you don’t need to apply much each time the amount in a tube still lasts a long time. I had a few tubes, one for at home and one I kept in my bag so I was never without it.
Would you choose this product above all others on the market?
Lorna: I would choose this product without hesitation because it is a long-established trusted brand. It was originally recommended by my midwife and my experience of using it with three babies confirms my personal confidence in the benefits of the product. I like that the product is widely available and that different sizes are available. I bought the small tube for my hospital bag which is now a cute lip balm.
Katherine: I tried a cheaper alternative to this product and I don’t feel I had the same positive experience. This product was more superior and more effective than alternative similar products. I have recommended it to friends to use when breastfeeding and even bought it for some friends. I rate it very highly and essential for your hospital bag.
Stephanie: Yes, I continued to purchase this nipple cream, I went through two tubes in the first couple of months. It really was a brilliant product for the early stages and I expect to use it in future if my nipples become sore again – potentially at the teething stage. I will be recommending this product in particular. I didn’t try others but read that this product was highly praised by others too I think this product should win.
What changes would you make to this product?
Georgina: I would like to see an alternative packaging solution that includes a one-handed pump dispenser (similar to the My Expert Midwife alternative). I would also prefer the cream to be a slightly runnier consistency. An alternative smell e.g coconut oil or the like would also be another feature that I would be in favour of changing.
Hannah: There really isn’t anything I could improve on or would want to change about this product. It does exactly what it says on the tin and provides the relief that every mama is looking for, especially in those early days. Packaging is smart and the product is the perfect size for what it is needed for.
Jessica: If I was to pick a negative about the HPA lanolin nipple cream it would be that I did find that the product can be hard to squeeze out of the tube and apply when it got cold. However, once it had warmed back up a bit, it became easier to use again. Other than that I would say the product is pretty great and one of the best on the market.
