One of my favorite times of the year is Christmas. I love the Christmas holiday season mainly because I love the feeling of it—spending Christmas with my family, shopping for gifts at the mall, and watching lovely Christmas movies! One of the things that makes this Christmas feel so special to me is the Christmas music. In this article, I will be sharing with you guys five of my favorite Christmas songs that you may not have heard of.

The Christmas Waltz by Frank Sinatra

This song to me has a whole lot of Christmas in it. I love how the song talks so much about the scenery that you would see during Christmas in the United States. I think that this song is so fun to listen to because you can imagine Christmas easily inside your head.

Grown Up Christmas List By Natalie Cole and David Foster

I love Christmas songs that have such strong and deep meaning, and this song, the Grown-Up Christmas List, gives a different perspective of Christmas that you may have never really thought of before. It is a song about an adult’s Christmas list to Santa Clause, a Christmas list full of wants that are something that would help fix all the problems in the real world. I love listening to this song especially by Natalie Cole (and David Foster) because they express vivid emotions in the song.

The Christmas Song by Nat King Cole

There’s something very special about listening to this song, The Christmas Song, especially sung by Nate King Cole, the father of Natalie Cole (mentioned above). This song, like The Christmas Waltz, shares the atmosphere of the Christmas season. I love listening to his version because he has a soft and soothing voice, as well as the Jazzy feel to it.

Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) by U2

This Christmas music is a little different from the ones I shared previously, as this song shares a feeling of Christmas with a significant other. As Christmas is a time to get with your loved ones, this song, Christmas (Baby Please Come Home), really shares how Christmas is all about being with your loved ones. I like this version by U2 because I think that they really express the feeling that is meant to be shared from the song.

Let It Snow by Boyz II Men (and Brian McKnight)

Nothing hits Christmas like a nice a cappella group singing a Christmas song! This song, “Let It Snow,” by Boyz II Men, isn’t like the tune and lyrics that most people know––it’s completely different from the other “Let It Snow” songs that make Boyz II Men version very special. I love listening to some Christmas a cappella, and Boyz II Men make it more special and enjoyable to listen to, as they sing very softly and calmly. I definitely recommend checking out their other Christmas songs!

I hope you liked the list of my favorite Christmas songs and hope you will listen to them during the holiday season!
