Going the distance… Tommy Coyle to tell all as headline name on new business event

Tommy Coyle is to headline a highly stimulating exclusive new business breakfast event launching next month.

Wellbeing at work will be the focus of the first gathering, brought together by Hull’s Reach Recruitment alongside Hull Live and Business Live.

The former Commonwealth lightweight champion, now an award-winning businessman with his expanding Coyle Health & Wellbeing brand, will bring energy, humour and some knock-out stories to a select audience, as he outlines how top companies are implementing a complete approach to the subject.

Tommy’s seminar, Going the Distance, Health, Energy and Motivation – Maximising Wellbeing and Workforce Productivity, will be presented in his own inimitable style.

A Nibble breakfast from the team at Hull’s Fruit Market will be balanced with an optional health assessment, while guests can produce their own smoothies using bespoke bikes ahead of the main event.

Benjamin Davis-Rice, managing director of Reach Recruitment – also headline sponsor of Hull Live Business Awards – told how he was increasingly hearing candidates quoting personal wellbeing as an important factor when judging how attractive an individual employer or role is.

And with an intensely competitive labour market, work-life balance and support is increasingly promoted by clients.

Tommy has led the likes of Siemens Gamesa to success, and will impart his knowledge at the July 8 event.

Mr Davis-Rice said: “I want it to be an engaging and informative event, not a business breakfast where everyone is looking at their watches.

“We’re looking at a series of events, where people can learn and take something from.

“That’s the thought process behind getting involved with Tommy. He is ‘Mr Hull’ he is all about the area, he has a great profile and a great character, and most of all he is a great bloke. It should make for a very exciting event.”

Describing Tommy as a leading expert on the subject matter, he will focus on the link between staff retention, motivation and higher productivity, and how leading-edge employers are ensuring they gain a competitive edge by harnessing innovative practices, technologies and techniques.

“He’ll be leading a valuable seminar, brimming with new ideas and suggestions for the business leader or HR professional, keen to stay one step ahead,” Mr Davis-Rice added.

The event will conclude with a question and answer session hosted by Business Live’s Humber editor, David Laister.

Places are limited for the invite-only event, and interest can be registered here.
