Australian cricketing great Andrew Symonds has been killed in a car crash outside Townsville, he was 46.
The hard-hitting batsman and part-time bowler played 26 Tests for Australia, 198 One-Day Internationals and 14 Twenty20 Internationals.
Queensland police have said in a statement that Symonds was in a single-car crash at about 10.30pm Saturday night.
He was driving on Hervey Range Road near the Alice River Bridge when his car left the road and rolled, the statement said.
